Being into the Electromechanical works, Powerserve management has decided to bring the world class Medium Voltage and LV Switch gear into the UAE market For this Memorandum of understanding has been signed with the MV SWGR Manufacturer – ELGA from Lithuania –Northern Europe Powerserve has been appointed as a Authorized Distributor by ELGA for Supply of MV and LV SWGR products and Components in UAE .

The main activity fields of ELGA UAB are design and manufacture of electrical distribution equipment for distribution networks and industry; Production of electrical distribution equipment: medium voltage distribution equipment; low voltage distribution equipment; transformer substations (galvanized steel, concrete, frame module design); mobile substations in sea containers; prefabricated substation buildings; electrical distribution and metering boards, cabinets; automatic compensation equipment; arc protection systems; medium voltage outdoor disconnections.

Galvanized steel transformer substations are used for receiving, transforming and distributing of medium and low voltage electric power to consumers.Modular substation MT housing is made of galvanized steel. Substations are available in various types with indoor or outdoor service and with installed required number of medium voltage and low voltage panels. It is connected by cable.

USN cubicles are used in indoor switchgears and distribution centers for 6 (10) kV (USN 100 series), 12 (17.5) kV (USN 150 series), 24 kV (USN 170 series) voltage 50/60 Hz frequency electrical power distribution, line overload and short circuit protection. Cubicles are equipped with vacuum or SF gas circuit breakers of various manufacturers

Low voltage distribution equipment

Low voltage distribution equipment designed for 0,4kV electric power distribution from main switchboards to small distribution boards. Low voltage switchboards are used in AC 50Hz, 400/230V networks. Switchgear (switch-fuse units, circuit breakers or switching devices of both types) are designed to protect the lines attached to these devices from short circuits, overloads and unacceptable other emergency modes.

Prefabricated substation buildings

Prefabricated substation buildings are designed for indoor switchgear equipment, command and communication posts, 6-10-20-35kV distribution centers and modular transformer substations. Substation building KAMP is a compact solution that meets all the most stringent requirements for modern switching substations. KAMP consists of modules that are preassembled at the factory. Modular building design is optimized for ELGA switchgears - all individual components therefore match perfectly with each other. By using standard building modules it is possible to create a wide variety of layouts, to meet all customer requirements for practical substation building. Modules are also available to offer flexibility in meeting special requirements.

Automatic compensation equipment

Automatic capacitor banks are used for central power factor correction. Power factor correction means that reactive power charges levied by electricity suppliers can be avoided. Automatic capacitor banks consist of stages controlled by a power factor controller which ensures that the required capacitor power is always connected to the system, it means that always would be optimal correction. Automatic capacitor banks are modular. All components of same level (capacitor units, contactors and fuses) are built into one module. Such construction makes maintenance easy and capacitor banks can also be easily expanded if necessary.

Arc protection system

The new arc protection relay NOLA-03-M with extension unit NOLA-02-S are designed to be used for the protection of medium and low-voltage switchgear to increase personnel safety and minimize equipment damage. The central unit type NOLA-03-M operates independently or together with the extension unit NOLA-02-S. This unit helps to create selective arc protection system increasing number of sensors and extending the area to be protected.
